On Wednesday May 6th, 2015, in the context of the 56th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, The Others exhibition is presented to the public, an innovative project made in the splendid spaces of the 15th century Dolfin Bollani Palace. The project was born with the intention of creating a connective space between artists and spectators, thus building an ideal bridge between different territories and between the concept of personal and collective identity. During the event, the multidisciplinary works of the artists Kaya y Rio (Rgb Crew), Giorgio Bartocci, Patricia Claro, Omar Castañeda, Narda Zapata, Marco Bolognesi, Francesco Candeloro, Anita Calà, Angelo Marinelli, Fabio Pennacchia, Piero Mottola, Ana Teresa Barboza and Sandra Nakamura will be presented.

Art is the maximum expression of human communication, that which acts as a great dialogue that embraces the public, the artist and the work, making them part of a single entity, a unit that grows with reciprocal exchange.

Often, however, this great collection breaks down, since the mechanisms of the art system and of the curatorial projects run the risk of disturbing the work of the artist, thus distancing its natural receptor. In essence, the dialogue is interrupted, and everything is translated into a monologue acted by the work that has an absence of public and is deprived of its original meaning.

It is necessary, therefore, to rediscover the bases of dialogue within the manifestations of contemporary art, to re-establish interrupted relations, to encourage the public and to restore their participation.

The Others resumes the relationship between art, artists and the public, constituting a platform that is open to dialogue and is without limitations of any kind. In this way it is possible to rediscover the expressive content of artistic creativity, a force that favors cultural exchanges without political, geographical or mental barriers, proposing a universal concept of unity and cohesion.
